I really like this author and she writes very different fics. If you love period fics and are interested in history then this is definitely the fic for you. I'll admit I didn't really know mch about the history of the time period in which this fic is set but the way the author has seamlessly incorporated the folklore of Selkies and the story line of Edward and Bella with the actual events of history, while keeping it all interesting, is nothing short of phenomenal.

I totally love this fic because it's very emotional. I give you a tissue warning for the whole fic. Edward and Bella are married but he is a bit of a jerk and with the help of an angel, Seth, he tries to right the wrongs that he has done to people in his life but mostly to Bella. The love Bella has for Edward despite his attitude and behaviour towards her is very profound and heart warming. I absolutely adore this Bella. The story has an HEA so if you start to worry after the beginning of the fic, then don't. The author wrote the story so beautifully that it evokes the emotions in you when you read.
