I love angst and since this story is pretty angsty, it was right up my alley but I've gotta tell you, you really will want to smack Edward around in this story. He is a mobster in 1950s and for quite a while he's an absolute douchebag. It's a story from a different time and Edward is just a product of that society. A very well written story with great flawed characters. So, if you enjoy angst then do give it a try.

This fic is inspired by the movie 'Last Tango in Paris' but it's not exactly the same story. This fic is hot, sexy and absolutely smutty, defnitely NSFW. Although sometimes there can be such a thing as too much smut in a fic where the plot is overshadowed by it but in this fic it was a perfect blend of smut and an amazing plot line. The story is intense and dramatic. I love how Edward and Bella start with their attraction to each other, then sort of addiction but ultimately they fall in love and have this great love story. The author did so well to strike a perfect balance between eroticism and tragedy of the movie and staying true to the canon. For the people who have seen the movie, the butter scene is there in the fic ;)

Savage is one of my most favourite authors out there and I absolutely love her work. This is a period fic and Edward is a knight who marries Bella who is a handmaid. This fic is very angsty so proceed with caution because sometimes the heart ache is too much to bear and there is so much drama. But the story is so good that you just can't stop reading it. The plot is amazing and Savage also got some backlash for some of the plot points but I'm glad she stuck to her storyline and did not compromise it. You will absolutely love Knightward and how his character transforms. Even though Savage said that she isn't going for complete historical accuracy, I say she wrote everything amazingly well. Michael Sheen also read part of this fic when he was asked about fanfictions in one of his interviews :)

This fic is completely amazing and you will get hooked from the start. The format of the fic is such that it shows every Friday. The first meeting between E/B is definitely unforgettable and their subsequent attempts at trying to one-up each other. You will feel the emotions in this fic, you will feel the heart break, the anger, the sadness, the hurt, the fear and the sexual heat. There were different points in the story that made me cry so much. Edward saying the cutest things made me a sappy mess and Bella sticking by her side no matter what made me love her totally. I would really give a tissue warning before reading it cuz it was very emotional.

This is a wonderful story. There are a lot of emotions involved in this story. There is horror over the abduction of Bella and Lily, Edward's daughter. Then there's the whole painful side where Edward, Charlie and the Cullens are trying to find them. Then when they are found the healing process begins and you see that because of one man their lives will never be the same again. Although they do heal gradually and I love how the author has shown the entire process. One of the other things that I loved about this fic is how Edward and Charlie bond over their pain of missing their daughters. It has one of the most amazing Daddywards and I absolutely loved the character of Edward's daughter, Lily. She was so adorable and going through the things that she had to go through, she was so strong and so amazing. Give it a try!

We have tattward and inkella in this fic and it's very angsty. Bella and Edward have broken pasts. It's also very smutty and absolutely hot! As Bella gets herself tattooed she lets Edward in and together they heal eachother. It's great writing and I totally love this fic. Oh and Edward absolutely loves cupcakes in it which made me eat quite a few while reading it so watch out for that!

This is another one of my all time favorite fics. If you have been in the fandom and into fics then you've most probably already read it or heard of it in which I don't need to say anything. But, if you have never heard of it then you are deprived of a masterpiece because that is what it is. This fic really introduced me to the world of Mafia and I have no shame in saying that after reading it I went and watched all three parts of Godfather. It is an amazingly written fic and that is why it is also getting published. The published novel would be named "Sempre" and I absolutely cannot wait for it to be out so I can read that too.

It's pretty angsty but amazing piece of work and this is my all time favorite fic! Edward and Bella are pretty broken in this fic but they find happiness together and I know that there are a lot of fics out there which have the same premise but Wide Awake is in a class of its own.
